For this project we were to choose a brand and incorporate their tagline into an advertisement campaign. I chose the Mini Cooper automobile brand and the tagline, “Not Normal.”
Although the Mini brand is not connected to the original brands they are produced in the same spirit as their predecessors.
To reinforce the “classic” element of the brand, I paired a modern Mini Cooper with a representation of Socrates, a classic Greek philosopher. Utilizing the Socratic Method of asking questions in order to define a thing or concept, our Socrates posits queries while the Mini enters; thus establishing the correlation between what a classic is and the new brand.
